Ridge loop in light rain
The upper path was muddy after the second bridge, so I took the forest track back. It adds about forty minutes, but the view over the lake at the turn is worth it.

Early start on the coast path
Left before six and had the cliffs to myself until nine. Bring water: the kiosk at the halfway point opens only on Sundays.
Boots, again
Third pair in two years. The lighter ones dry faster but do not last on rock. Back to leather for the autumn.
